Faculty and staff are one of the important pillars of the Higher Education. The role of a faculty is as motivator, facilitator in teaching learning process.

Faculty is most important factor for the overall quality and excellence in Higher Education. That’s why focus must be given on staff development through Faculty Development Programme, Training etc., to assure the contribution of Higher Education to capacity-building, and thereby to the human and social development processes.
The quest for excellence is an integrated process comprising academic, pedagogical & managerial capacities.

One-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Applied Marketing Research”

DVHIMSR, Dharwad organized a One-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Applied Marketing Research” on 18th October 2025. The FDP aimed to strengthen faculty knowledge of modern tools, techniques, and teaching approaches in marketing research and analytics.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. N. Ramanjaneyelu, Professor of Management and Chief Guest, who emphasized the value of Applied Marketing Research as a bridge between theory and practical business applications. Dr. Sunilkumar Hiremath, Director, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous learning.

Dr. Chetan V. Hiremath, Professor, M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, led an insightful session on Marketing Research and Analytics, focusing on data-driven decision-making. Dr. Jyoti Hallad, Director, IER-JSS, conducted a session on Qualitative Research Methods, while Dr. Praveen, Assistant Professor, IER, guided participants on Research Paper Writing and Publication.

The sessions were interactive and enriching, providing participants with valuable perspectives on research methodologies and applications. The event concluded on a positive note, marking the FDP as a successful and impactful academic initiative.
